Left blinker light on dash not lighting
Well, let's keep discussing this, Y'all! I thing we're close here. I'm a manufacturing process engineer by profession, so I'm pretty good at soldering and taking things apart, etc. No cap, I bought my 2005 G35x a few months ago for $1200 cash, haha. I knew it would have some issues, but my plan is to get surgical on this bitch and make it last me 10+ years.
One thing I noticed... yesterday was my first time driving my G in heavy rain... and that's also the first time I noticed the left blinker and SET light not working consistently.
Moreover... I noticed water dripping by the E-brake pedal, which is right next to the driver-side kick-panel fuse box.
You all don't think.............?

I doubt water has reached the back of your instrument panel but you should look into the drain lines that come from the sunroof down through the A-pillars. The one on the passenger side is notorious for dumping water on the BCM and its harness and that never ends well.
The '05s were great machines so you should be able to keep it going, especially if you have some tinkering skills. Factory Service manuals are here:

Scroll down, click G35, click coupe or sedan, click year... When you open a specific manual, just below the window is an option to "click here to download a copy". Those will help you keep that car running.

To add a bit more detail, download all the sections/chapters into one folder. Start with the FWD file; it's the table of contents, and clicking any section/chapter (they're bookmarked in the PDF) will automagically take you to the chapter you are seeking.
Definitely have leaking sunroof drains if it's getting into the cabin. My preferred method to clean them out is to remove the inner A-pillar trim so you can access the drain hose. CUT THE HOSE, spray a bunch of brake cleaner into it, then GENTLY spray it out with an air compressor. Don't put the compressor nozzle on max blast, feather the trigger, you will hear it shooting out air at the cowl near the windshield wipers. Do that a couple times on each side.
You will need to coupling it back together later so buy some hose clamps and couplings.
If it's fully clogged and you can't spray air out then you will need to remove the wiper cowl to access the drain hole. A Pipe cleaner and some compressed air will dislodge the clog. Alternately you can go in from the dash via the AC vents but I've never had to do it that way.

There are vids and threads showing the resistors to re solder for the fuel gauge fix. Are there different ones to solidify for the signal/cruise set lights? I've only done the most basic of soldering in the past. Kind of worried I could mess this up, or mess up the little lcd screen you have to pull off of the cluster board.
Dude, Just hear me out. Have you tried doing this yet to fix your Fuel Gauge?
Follow the Youtube video. It fixed my fuel gauge! The needle gets stuck on the wrong side if the fuel gauge and you have to use a neodymium magnet to get it to pull back to the correct spot.
I have not fixed the blinker not working when it rains though....

I have a cluster with an intermittent left turn LED. I have tried re-soldering the LED with no luck. If I press down on the LED with my finger, it will start working for a little while and then randomly stop again. I didnt have a spare green LED so I didnt bother to mess with it.
Last week I messed around with a bunch of spare cluster gauges I have laying around. I have learned that rarely will a new LED fix an intermittent issue. The circuit boards in these clusters are crap, and u can get different lights to flicker/stop working just by applying some light pressure to different areas of the circuit board. I believe the circuits embedded into the board develop micro-cracks and thats what causes all these random issues.

I've seen defective soldermask (that's the green colored lacquer like stuff they dip or paint the PCB with) that will expand and contract with changes in the seasons and literally rip the components off the board.
So funny that you mentioned that. After not working for months, yesterday, I started the car and the fuel gauge went to 1/2 with the trip odometer at 180 miles (probably about right!) and the left turn signal led worked. No idea why, but the weather had just sort of turned cold in the previous two days, and I hadn't driven the car in about 30 hours. After about 5 minutes of driving, the fuel gauge went up to 3/4 and the left turn signal light stopped working. Hasn't worked since. So weird but kind of makes sense if there is some sort of expansion that is loosening board connections. Not sure if it's temp related though because my car sits in a garage.
