I have an 03 G35. Sedan my question is I'm trying to check the fluid level and the dealer tells me that it's a sealed unit and there's no dipstick you can get for it. Unless I get a universal. But it's shifts great and does not leak. I just like to check it now and then

 

It takes the dipstick for an automatic 350Z. Just get one from a 2003-2004 Z and you're good.

The OEM one for the early G is only a couple inches long for some reason.

 

Just the verify this is a LHD car right? Some of the RHD ones came with a CVT transmission but that was never an option in the US market.

 

They're no longer available? I have a BNIP one in my basement that I ordered for my last G but didn't end up using, I'll have to check the part number.

 

The 2003-2004.5 never had a real dipstick, apparently it's a different tube than the 2004.5+ so those newer dipsticks are incompatible but the early 350Z automatic (any 350Z with the DE engine, I was wrong in my earlier post about it being only 2003-2004) uses the same tube but with a real dipstick.
