Bought this car in April of this year for my birthday from a dealership for 3800 first time buyer I love my car I'm upset I had to get front window motors replaced cost me 250 dollars in May and passenger window is messed up again won't go up or down my car was slipping mechanics said I needed a new transmission but turning on the car today made me real upset if wudnt turn on anymore it makes a rapid ticking noise and won't turn on alarm wudnt go on or off either and tail lights wud flicker up until my battery was completely dead. I wanna say someone has been messing with my car because my windows were fixed and my oxygen sensor was sticking out from the bottom also my car looks lifted idk I'm looking into purchasing a new transmission which it's expensive cheapest I found was 910 with installation
but I was curious if someone tried breaking into my car that's why my window all of a sudden wasnt working properly would my car be on some theft protection because on my dash board there's a red light flashing even when unlocking my car and no key in the ignition so wud this be on limp mode and causing my car to not function the same wud it make my transmission slip and drain my battery?
No, batteries only last so long before they won't hold a charge anymore. Plus sometimes things like the CD changer will fail and always be drawing power even when the car is turned off. That rapid ticking (starter solenoid chatter) is just from low cranking voltage in the starting circuit.
Start by charging the battery, if it won't hold a charge for more than a day or so try removing the stereo fuse and see if the problem goes away. If so then something in the stereo went bad.
That's a VERY good price on a replacement transmission, are you sure it's not just low on fluid though? It will slip when you're low on fluid exactly the same as when the tranny fails due to burned up clutch packs or brake sleeves.
As for the window motor, it won't raise/lower the window AT ALL? You can unplug the motor, probe the harness with a digital multimeter and make sure it's getting power, should be +12vdc up and -12vdc down. Sometimes the wires will break inside the flexible wireway where the door meets the chassis.
The harness under the car, you might have just hit some road debris, obviously all the wires are pulled out of it so that might be why your car is draining battery power. Personally I would charge up the battery and fix that harness and see if that corrects the battery issue.
