Hot Outside Air Through Vents

Anyone:

I have seen some posts to this issue before. I just cannot find the discussions.

The problem is running the vents without A/C. I still get signifcantly warmer air coming through the vents. Has anyone had this problem and know a fix?

The dealer said to turn on the A/C!

Thanks

Common issue. Unfortunately you get warm air when you try and get fresh air through the vents. What I usually do if I want fresh air is tilt the sunroof up and put the vents on recirculate. Or you can run the A/C one or two degrees lower then the outside temp.

Oh man! This is an old issue. Check the DIY forum for a fix. The fix there is to apply silicon caulk around the battery compartment frame, as fresh air is sucked in from that area. the metal making the battery section does not meet flush and allows warm engine compartment air into the mix. I did it and it does help, but the fresh air without A/C will never be as cool as outside.

Hot Air

Everyone:

Thanks for suggestions.

Still... This really sucks. I do not have this problem with any of my American vehicles.

p.s. I am taking my car in today to have the brakes fixed. At 22K miles, it sounds like the wheels are falling off.
