Don't know. We drove a coupe to try out the 6MT (dealer didn't have a sedan) and that is when they told us why it was on all the time. That's why I don't remember the details - been too long. LOL! We have a 6MT sedan as well as my car and it stays on all the time. I know you can set the RPM that makes it turn red but I don't know what the default setting is or how to change it. It's in the manual though. Can't check ours until tomorrow evening but if you don't see it let me know and I will look.
