First impressions of my new '05

Friday, I picked up my new '05, Lakeshore Slate/Stone G, my first impressions after just a few days are, brakes are way better, no grabiness whatsoever, actually have to get used to these, LOL, and all the changes they made are great, I am happy so far, especially with the difference in the brakes! I don't have a pic yet, waiting for the tint and pinstripe to be done on Tuesday!

I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I just got my 05 6MT Wednesday. While I can't rev the engine for about 1000 more miles (I set the shift light to 5000 to keep me in check) I am still enjoying taking fast turns. The one thing that does bother me though is the smell of a burning clutch after a drive. I hope it isn't really the clutch, but it sure smells like it. Hopefully it's just part of the break-in procedure.

All in all, very satisfied...so far.

No, it's a real subtle pin stripe, I had the same thing on my '04, the new car looks naked without it, LOL!

Agree. I have a hand painted stripe on mine - very subtle, but looks good.

Can anyone with pinstripes, please post some pics? I am curious as to what it looks like.

I don't know if this will work, I never took a specific pic of it on my '04, it has the Infiniti logo on the fender in front of the door, like I said, it's pretty subtle.

Tom my man,
Updating after one year...lol, you're as bad as me. J/K.. I'm glad the brakes are better. It's certainly worth upgrading to get good stoppers. My '03 Sedan had the same grabby brakes which I didn't like either. Happily the Coupe was a big improvement.

Show us the tint and pinstripe when they're done. I'm sure they'll be a tasteful addition.
The more I see that colour (L.S.) the more I like it. Very nice. Congrats.

Colin.

Congrats to you too Superb16, don't worry about the occasional venture to 6k, it'll do it good.
I doubt the burning smell is clutch.....it's probably the coating on the stainless exhaust and engine. No worries (unless you've been riding the clutch- ).

Congrats and enjoy too.
C.

I like the clean lines of the G without any pin stripes

To each his own I guess
