It's a decision you'll have to make. They're both great cars, however I think (know) the TL will have better resale value. Most will argue the TL sucks because of FWD and 270 horses. I say how often will you have to battle that. How often will you drive like you're on a race track. I drove the 6sp TL as soon as it came to my dealers lot and the TQ wasn't anything that will disqualify it from purchase. But like I mentioned earlier it's a decision based on preference.
Hey I'm here to say what most won't admit. The TL is better. Plus the PANASONIC SYSTEM KICKS ****.

How about just saying what you're looking to get out of either car? That might help narrow things down.

Take me for example - I want a $30k sports sedan for a daily driver. I do not want fwd, soo I chose the G. I also don't need a bunch of gadgets and gizmos or sun roofs or anything else that might inflate the price with crap I don't care about. Again, the G.

Too much to list. But for me a true sports sedan has to be RWD. I don't even compare the two.

To me a TL would be a competitor to the Maxima or Altima. Now, if I had to choose among those three, I'd say the TL all the way.

I've seen that and the opposite. The truth is they're so close it's moot.

I found it didn't have to be on a track to experience the tq steer, but it wasn't horrendous either.

Better in that it suited your needs better than a G would have, that's all. Both are great cars.

The G is not necessarily better than a TL. It depends on your personal preferences and needs. It's going to be a large expense regardless of which car you may choose. Choose wisely and above all . . . Enjoy!

I would say go with the g35 sedan because that's what I chose between the two. However, I regret my decision and I should have waited for the 2k6 Lexus IS 300.

I wanted all wheel drive, so I didn't look at the Acura this time. I looked at the 1999s but liked the I30 and the Infiniti service (loaners, I knew they were good service people from a G20) better.

Good luck with either!

I looked at both the '05 TL and the '05 G35 at the auto show in April, I definitely liked (obviously, LOL) the '05 G35, the improvements over the '04 are great, to me the biggest selling point for the G35 is still the RWD, and for that I'll say go for the G!

This is ridiculous. Nobody is going to base their car purchase on an internet forums opinions, and I have a hard time believing anyone who uses grammar like that is in the market for a $32,000+ car.

And I'd pick a 3.5 Altima over a TL and the Maxima any day. I love that car.

Having money to spend and being articulate, or "writing good" are rarely synonymous

I had a tough decision between these two exact cars...and choose the G. Here where my reasons.

1. Rattles - The Acura has a serious rattle problem. Just read some of the posts from owners on acurazine.com.

2. Unique - Look how many TLs you see on the road vs. 05 Gs. In my opinion, that helps the G in resale value. But I do not by a car based on resale value.

3. Trunk - I could not get my golf clubs in the TL easily.

4. IntelliKey - Not available in the TL and it it the best feature of my G.

I must say I am 100% happy with my purchase. I just turned 1400 miles and I am about to wash the paint off of the G. Just my 2 cents.

After the G, the TL would have been my purchase choice. Acura/Honda makes excellent cars! The interior is superior IMO, but as previously stated FWD sucks!

It's a great car and I can't see why anyone would fault the purchase.

Personally, I have the G because I've researched others in its class. As far as I'm concerned I got the best car (for me).
