APS Plenum.....GODAAAAMN !!!

Finally got my APS Tallboy Plenum installed. Holy sheeeet! An 'add-on' that really works on an N/A engine. Must've picked up 10 RWHP on the low and mid-range for $45.00 per HP ! Don't ask about a dyno on my AWD......ain't none avail. But, my slip ind. lights up on every start and shift to 2nd ...HOO HAA.! BCool, JBX

Can't tell ya ....all I can hear is my Stillen X cat-back..lol. Is it higher? Can't really say, but it's finish and detail is noteworthy and NO BS core exchange or re-vamping of the old plenum. Ya gotta be careful, however, when ya install the OEM bolts back in the new APS that they don't make contact with the existing coolant line runners. The one up front towards the left WILL puncture the line if ya don't pay attention and trim it down

Cool mod. Is it really true that these motors can starve cylinders at high rpm's?

That looks like a good plenum. Did you find out what the differences are between the APS, Kinetix and Crawford? Just curious.

I just got a spacer not long ago and noticed the difference right away as well. But I wonder how much better will it be if I went all out and got a plenum?...hmmm!!

A bit off topic here...how is the Stillen working out for you? I am a little conflicted about getting it. I saw the old gen on another sedan and that thing scared me...way too loud. Right now I have the HKS+coupe midpipe combo and that's as loud as I can go. I love the Stillen 'cause it is a nice complete system.

Do you have any drone at low, mid or high range RPM's?

Thanks.

It's not as loud as the old cat-back, but it ain't quiet either. I don't care however......I've never gotten performance outta anything that doesn't yell...lol. If I wanted quiet I woulda bought a Camry The Stillen X CB works WELL and the APS is ALL that (that's why I waited 6 months for the release). BCool.JBX

Lots of mods and no dynos or track times? Could be a clasic case of over modding which in the end makes no difference in straight line performance or even losses. Get rid of that pop charger and get your low end tq back for example. Just doesn't make any sense not to go to the track or get dyno proof.
