Gting has some valid points but unfortunately his arrogance has taken the front seat on this discussion.

After I made my first number of significant mods, I took it to be dyno'd to see if the claims were valid -- the dyno put me just over a 30hp gain from published specs. Granted the 6MT was consistently pulling over the published no's at stock.

I am quite willing to share my results with any doubters and cynics -- It is beyond my reach however to act like an *** and criticize other people's reasoning for whatever mod they do to their car.

The other mod's I've done are strictly cosmetic, so who cares as long as I like them.

BTW.. I have tracked my car after the suspension changes -- again it is my own nature to find out if there was a real difference. Does it make a huge difference in daily driving ? Not really but it is a nice feeling to know I can take an exit ramp at full speed once and a while and not worry about how well the car and I handle it.

You know JBX, just as an aside, I really like it when people put the products they use in their sig. Sometimes I'll look at somebody's sig and say hey cool.
whaddya think about.....

Just one more way that the decent people on this forum can interact.

seriously....take a deep breath and look at the efforts you have made in this post...and time...for what?

Since Gting doesn want to answer a very staight forward question...anyone have a guess at what affected him so harshly in life to be this way?

I'm think'n punched a LOT in gym class and spending mucho time locked in various lockers. No signature, no profile, no mods, no location, no backbone, no nothing? I'm starting to think that this whole thing is a goof and everybody's gett'n played. That, or he's just another undercover, in the closet, internet site sniper who thrives on being the hated protagonist. Enough is enough.... let's move on (that means me too). The only way to get a child to stop whining is to ignore them. BCool, JBX

Speculation regarding the effects of testosterone poisoning and its resultant inane hostility, so frequently inherent in the early maturation process of boys, is beyond the scope of this forum, IMHO. It is, nonetheless, fascinating to view.

Regarding the substance of this argument (that mods are useless without a dyno before and after each), there is some merit, but only a little. If the thing improves performance for one VQ, it seems highly likely that similar improvements will be seen by others and testing by all is wasteful.
