does anyone else have the back deck rattle on certian songs when the bass hits? If so has anyone figured out what it is and have you stoped it? Post the cure if you know thanks Andy

 

Mine sounds a bit mushy, but no rattles.

 

I had this problem, then I got a Real Sub, but to get this fix take off the grill slowly it can break easliy and stuff around the sub with foam or watever you can find.

 

i just noticed my '05 bass starts to rattle like 3 days ago

ill see how bad it is...might take it to the dealer

 

Does anybody have a diagram or know how to remove the rear panel where the sub sits?

 

I know there's a TSB for this (not sure if it's for your '05 too or not)...but it wouldn't hurt to try. You can access the panel from your trunk...I'm guessing the '04 & '05 trunks are the same...there are 7 push pin/clips holding it up....all you need is a small flathead screwdriver.

 

Replaced stock sub with kicker compvr 8" used as free air with whole bunch of dynamat extreme on rear deck and dash and behind rear seats and cover for under the sub in trunk with poly fill. Absolutly no rattle at all when bass hits. I have JL audio 6.5 xr series in front and JL 5.25 xr in rear with kicker compvr 8 sub ran from a jl audio 6 channel amp.

 

i took my car in for music rattles, all fixed with a free car wash and interior clean
