If this happened in California, he would be arrested on felony hit and run. Don't know why Nevada is like that.

 

My family is doing awesome. Memories have faded of the accident and the fear we felt but every once in a while I see my family and I think about how great it is to be alive.

A few weeks after the accident I was driving at night and turning left onto a small residential street. I knew there was a car coming from my right but it was pretty far away. Just as I was completing my left turn, my wife gasped at something she saw on the side of the road (christmas tree lights I think), but I didn't know why she made the sound she did.

I freaked out big time. I thought I had misjudged how far behind me the car was and that we were going to get hit. It was terrifying and really shook me up. In fact, the other car was still way behind me, but when I saw headlights in my rear view mirror I had a flashback of the accident. I'm normally pretty calm, but I was extremely jittery driving at night for a while after the accident.

 

I'm so happy that everything has worked out for you!. I'm sorry to hear about the flash back, but thank God you are safe, well and have a new baby! In a different way, life has new meaning! Enjoy and I wish you the best.

 

Did your lawyers ever get anywhere with the guy that hit you? Glad to hear you're doing so well!
