ECU Reset

hey guys, i want to reset my ECU and i learned that the best way is to disconnect the battery for 2 hours. i was wondering when i do that, and the 2 hours pass do i have to get a jumper to jump it or all i gotta do is connect it again and start the engine?

Question. Does resetting the ecu delete all the NAVI settings?

It's best to disconnect it overnight (as the service manual suggest) but some do it for a shorter time.
After the reset, just reconnect the negative cable securely and you're good to go.

(If you disconnect the negative, black, cable, you have less chance of arcing)

Not all, and only if you reset by disconnecting the battery.

The average MPG's on the navi will go, as will radio presets, and trip odometers not biggie, but as I said only if you disconnect the battery.

If you do the pedal method described HERE in our FAQ forum, you'll lose nothing.

That method tho, takes a little practice.
