Sent an email asking if this works for a Sedan, and a sedan with a spoiler, at that. If you think it looks promising, I'll be happy to report back and let you know what I find out. They also have it for the back window brake light, too.
I think clear LEDs' look much better than the red since the clears will not stand out as much. I tend to have a good eye for determining what will look good on a G and what looks blah... Someday I will open my own custom auto shop!

On the 4th hole, I break me drill bit, and the drill skips and I hit the trunk. 1/4 inch deep gouge. Fortunately it gets covered by the spoiler. Get it installed, wired, disconnect the orig 3rd light. Whew!

Next day I see this thread with a spoiler that I like better.
Oh well... Next car!

Anthony it's alright I still think the factory wing spoiler is the best for Platinum silver just get you a clear led housing and you won't think twice about this lip spoiler.

Any worries about rust?

No, from the top. The spoiler came with these plastic strips that have a 1/4" high nipple which serves as a guide hole. You place these into the spoiler (5 of them) where the bolts go. Align the spoiler, tape down the strips (used blue painter's tape) and carefully lift of the spoiler. Drill the guide holes (from the top) and then remove the strips. Then redrill using the right size bit. Where it was tough was in drilling the end furthest back. Here I had to carefully drill thru the double wall (with a few inch gap between).
Rust is a concern. I used rust inhibiting primer followed by touchup paint around the holes. I too had initially thought that the trunk was aluminum (what the sales critter had told me). However, once I gave it the magnet test, that laid that hope to rest.

Why even bother disconnecting the third light, I see lot's of cars with spoiler lights and the inside the window light, looks fine.

Hey, the Grubbs site now has a disclaimer... states the light may be clear at this time. (or something similar) Someone's reading this thread...

I'm like ABQ, I go back & forth on which spoiler. I think the oem looks fine, but this lip spoiler will set it appart. 3 G's in my work parkinglot w/ the oem spoiler.

My issue is the redundant third brake light. If I do pull the trigger, I'll have to disconnect mine and re-tint the back window. (it's currently cut out for the third brake light) Those that don't look fine, but I can just tell that the spoiler was an afterthought. It's all about the details.

Hi, Perry!

I'm sure you're right about your good eye and opening a custom auto shop, and I also think you're right on the white car pictured. However, I'm not sure the clear light would look so "passable" on my black baby. I saw some pics of Blue_batmobile's overlay work, which was great! I think I'm going to contact him for assistance before giving up on the spoiler.

I noticed no one commented on the brake light covers. LOL!

^ Tint would look great but in a lot of states you may have problems with getting an inspection sticker...

Here's a DIY posted on 6MT for this spoiler, not that I'd do it myself, but maybe one of you guys could.

...bringing this back to life...

If you click on the above link posted by ABQ, Grubbs now lists a phone # where you can special order w/o the LED's.

It's final. That's what I'm going to do! I'll post back w/ details...

Update as promised.

I s/w Allen at Grubbs. The company that makes the Euro spoiler has gone out of business. No spoilers w/o the LEDs are available.
He still has some traditional in stock. I believe I'm still going this route...
