Coupe vs Sedan!!! Winner is...

More people buy the sedan its a proven fact. Sorry coupe guys, if beauty is in the eye of the beholder or if public eye is the verdict, then the sedan is one beautiful car.

People say the coupe gets more love, but the fact is that the love is just outspoken, while us sedan guys are modest.

Sorry just had to vent. BTW, love both cars

check out nissannews.com its not even close.

I think more people like the coupe, but end up with the sedan b/c of the need for space, practicality, etc.

I personally would prefer the coupe, but I need to carry kids in car seats and their stuff in my trunk. Therefore, the coupe is out of the question for me.

I agree with AlterZgo and the reasons why some people choose the sedan over the coupe. High volume doesn't mean its prettier. Does that mean a Toyota Camry is nicer to the overall public because it sells more? I don't agree with the sedan being ugly, because its nice and clean and the proportions are traditional RWD sedan. Its not a sleek in styling as the coupe, but umm, a sedan isn't suppost to be (aside from the swoopy MB CLS).

I also don't agree on the coupe guys coming in the sedans forum and saying B.S. like "the sedan isn't all bad" It's the same car, what makes you think it's a terrible?

The coupe is definitely better looking (not that the sedan is ugly, in fact I quite like it), but it all comes down to practicality. After I sold my coupe I was determined to buy another after I moved, but instead I bought the sedan because I needed the 2 extra doors and more importantly the trunk space.

Ive heard several people here say the sedan is faster and funner to drive than the coupe. I have no idea why the sedan would be faster, and dont have times to back up. Maybe someone else here could?

The sedan is lighter and in 6mt form has the same advertised HP. I think the sedan is handicapped with it's narrow wheels.

If i was going to buy a Nissan coupe i would have to go with the fairladyZ But thats a different thread, I like the 350 gt coupe, But has anyone noticed that it resembles a Scion TC or the Scion Tc resembles a 350gt coupe. I don't think anyone has won this race, it looks like a tie to me.. The Coupe has some better looks and the sedan has better versatility. I want to see a stock sedan and stock coupe go at it both 6mt's. Thats right im JDM

The sedan being lighter is a myth. The 05 published #s say they weigh the same. The earlier #s say that the sedan is about 50 lbs lighter yet the coupe came with bigger wheels. Both cars run the same at the drag. The coupe handles better due to the lower center of gravity and more agressive suspension tuning. The sedan offers better practicality. They are the same car with a different trim.

I like both sedan and coupe. I just like sedan's look more, probably I just like four door styling a lot more than any two door.

Lookwise anything prior to 2005 sedan needs the aero kit. If not for the aero kit, I would have been driving a coupe. I went up to vegas and hit 139 ( cuz thats as fast as the chip will let me) with the AWD, the ride stayed smooth.

I like the looks of the sedan a little bit more...don't get me wrong, both cars are really nice. However, I'm going to have to look at the new coupe when it comes out...my wife might be driving an 05 sedan fairly soon.

I like the looks of all the G35s 03-04 coupes, sedans 05-06 coupe sedans now I tend to favor a car that has more exterior accessories over a base model with tiny wheels, cloth interior and no sunroof I don't give those a second look but a coupe or sedan with aero kit and 18" or 17" sport wheels will catch my eye. I don't like the stock look of the 05-06 sedan it's nice infiniti corrected the side moldings but I think the 05-06 looks mundane with out a aero lip and spoiler...

The 03 Coupe vs the 03 Sedan there was 150lb difference in weight between both loaded models.

05 vs 05, there is less but still about 50-100lb difference. Wheels are still bigger on the coupe so that is more weight of the wrong type. There are more Sedans in the 13s than coupes with min bolt ons. That should tell you something.
