Why Bose Sucks

Yes it is commendable that Infiniti does recognize the POS system that is available, and other short comings of the current car. I'm for one still interested on seeing the upgrades. However, how does future improvements of a new model improve or affect the vehicle that is currently parked in one's driveway - it doesn't.
...and there are quite a bit of audio manufacturers that only manufacture true high-end systems, that in some cases costs just as much as Bose changes for some of their "high-end" systems.

Judging from the middle of your post, nothing more needs to be said in Bose's defense. You are clearly filled with deep hatred of the current generation G35 and anything that's in it including the Bose sound system. It's not a wonderful system but it's far from terrible. Go listen to a sound system in a compact car like the Toyota Corolla if you want terrible. I find it odd that you leased this vehicle without having thoroughly tested the Bose system in the car before signing on the dotted line... When I leased my G35x I brought a cd with at least six different genres of music and different variants of those genres to test the sound system and played all the tracks inside the car while everyone was looking at me in the dealership. Hey, it was important to me and I was mildly satisfied with what the car offered.
As it's already been stated, the G35 competes with a wide range of entry level luxury/sporty cars but it's the value buy among them so you won't be finding the Mark Levinson system or Lexus/Acura quality navigation system while the price stays around $36K-$39K (MSRP) fully loaded. There is a reason why the IS350 and BMW 330(x)i command a higher price. As far as the G35x is concerned, Lexus and Acura don't even offer AWD in their high power (TL, IS350) models. If you want the best of the "compact" entry level luxury/sporty cars, cough up for the IS350 or BMW 330(x)i with all the options. If you can't or won't afford it then you have no room to complain about the G35 or it's features because it's the only one at offering everything for less than $40,000.00.

Rlampke,
You are your own boy. You want to talk to our head of publicity, that's your choice. He sits just around the corner from me. I'm sure you'll have a nice chat.
As far as permission to quote ... read what I wrote. I regretted not attaching a disclaimer to my earlier posts. I did not say you needed my permission, previous to my request not to.
As to your penchant for setting up straw-men and knocking them down ... it's sad.
As for the only meaningful thing in your post, for more information on the system and it's components ... I suggest you start with the official Infiniti press information. More about the system will be available as we get closer to launch. I would, howeve, caution you on two things. First, good components do not guarantee a good system. You have to take a holistic approach. Second, photos of system components will, in general, tell you little about how they sound/perform. Therefore I suggest you will do better to brush up on meaningful speaker performance criteria.
Now I have to make an honest man of myself and stay off this forum.
Cheers, pal.
John Feng

Thanks to you, the one person that can actually tell us what this new system is all about has left because of your comments. According to this article Feng was behind the design of this system. If it is good as he says it is then sign me up. I have been disappointed with the Bose system in my 05 G35 and I would definitely appreciate an upgrade. If the 07 sounds as good as Infiniti/Bose claims then I will buy one the day it hits the showroom. Until then Feng and the few other people that have heard it are the only ones who can honestly make an assessment of its quality.

Feng,
If you Rlampke has not completely driven you off I have a couple of questions. Have you listened to the ML system in the Lexus vehicles. What is your opinion of those systems? You don’t have to compare it to the Bose system. I just wanted to know what you thought the strengths or weaknesses are of the ML systems in the Lexus vehicles.

To each their own I guess, but I personally don't think you would be satisfied if you had a Lexus or BMW either....you strike me as the type of person that needs to be able to find fault with everything.
It's not negative, more so strong constructive criticism.
On the contrary, I do own an '05 Lexus RX 330 W/Levinson and I'm quite happy w/it. But understood this is an SUV not a Sport Sedan so it's tough to compare, but one can compare against items like the sound systems, build quality and interiors.

Rlampke works for Lexus.....Its a conspiracy.
What's the matter? Only car u can afford to lease is the G?? Don't want to downgrade?? Camry isn't so bad....Neither is the Accord.
I'd like to apologize on behalf of Infiniti for not making the car to your standards and liking. But there a millions of other people who I think matter more as a whole, then you as 1.
I'm SURE your loss in business will go unnoticed.
May i escourt you to here? http://www.is350forums.com/
Or Maybe Here? http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?

$130 MB Quart Components in front doors and $50 of B Quiet made a HUGE difference in sound quality. With fader all the way up front they play better than entire 7 speaker Bose system..
If you can afford 2007 G35, you should be able to afford to drop few hundred $$ to junk Bose speakers.

Wow...what a bunch of babies we have here. Sorry, I'm not trying to name-call, but that's the only thing I can think of at the moment. There is nothing wrong with RLampke posting his feelings about Bose. This is an open forum. If fang decides to leave because he's out of rebuttals, then so be it.
Bose is and always has been EXTREMELY good at marketing. They bombard magazines, electronics stores and TV commercials with their adds stating that they have the finest speakers in the world and will blow anyone away. They also engineer their tiny display rooms at stores to impress listeners by blasting ear-piercing volume and passing it off as "quality". (BTW, I was fooled by these shenanigans not long ago). I'm not saying there is anything wrong with good advertising. By all means they have every right to market their product.
The fact of the matter is, if you do any research at all, you will find that ALMOST every single audiophile review site, magazine or store will tell you that Bose is completely overpriced and is not worth a lick. The reason that you see Bose in so many "high-end" vehicles is because of Bose's great marketing. They have everyone convinced that a high-end/luxury vehicle isn't complete without the fantastic Bose stereo. Car manufacturers know this, so they put them in their cars.
I think that what myself and RLampke is trying to say is that Infiniti can do better! Lexus has realized this and started using the ML. I think its time that Infiniti rise to the occasion and use a TRUE AUDIOPHILE system in future cars.
my .02 Peace

No offense to fang whatsoever, I'm sure that you are great at what you do and Bose is probably a good company to work for, but you need to be willing to take the heat when people call your company out on it's BS.

Your right it's in indication - it's an indication of another Bose marketing ploy: "Studio on Wheels". Real systems speak for themselves w/out slogans and catch phrases: B&W, Bang & Olfson, RBH, McIntosh, Rotel, Revel, ect ect ect. I sure hope that this "Studio On Wheels" system performs better then your defense of it here.
Good by...
