Can't wait till people actually go to the track and test the car in terms of 1/4 mile and 0-60.

Somehow the new 306hp will propel the next gen G35 to 60mph 1 full second faster than the current 280hp G35? Keep in mind the current G35 sedan can do 0-60 in 6 seconds and 1/4 mile in around 14.5.

That's nuts.

If this info is no exaggeration, then we are looking at a 13.5 quarter mile time or faster. One thing is for sure, the new G35 sedan even with auto tranny will run down the Lexus IS350 and BMW 330i. For the moment the BMW 335i is in another performance level all together, and will probably severly cripple the sales of the upcoming IS500.

Of course, then the VQ37HR will be out next year and hopefully coupled with a whole new Nissan transmission to pull the rugs under its competitor's feet.
With my personal experience 06 G35 sedan with 298hp 6mt did propel 0-60= 5.4s and quarter 14.1s..i would asumw that G35hr would do that it 4.8s, considering the advantage the hr has over de.it makes de prettymuch equal with hr. But i have not seen it nowhere. Only q50 red sport.

Look at the Motor Trend numbers:
weight to power - 11.8
306 @ 6800 bhp
268 @ 5200 lb-ft
7500 Redline
Weight 3604 lbs
53/47% - front/rear weight dist.
5.4 sec 0-60
14.0 @ 100.4 - Quarter Mile
112ft - 60-0 braking
.90g avg - Lateral Accel.
2300 - Top gear revs @ 60mph
33k - Base price (est)
36k - As tested (est)
225/50R18 95W (F)
245/45R18 95W (R)
19/27 mpg - EPA
19.7 mpg - MT

All the numbers add up so....
My g35 2006 6mt sedan with 298 hp can do 0-60 =5.4s and quarter 14.1 trap speed 94.9. Wrong oil in rear axle and engine. Now is the exhaust modified. It is for sure 13 sec car. So what is the gain in hr?

Just an old C&D article on V36

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...ake-road-test/

"latest generation of this car, a Sport model with a six-speed manual transmission, the G35 hustled to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and continued on through the quarter-mile in 13.9 seconds at 103 mph."

"Our G35x tester, burdened with AWD and a five-speed automatic, blitzed to 60 in 5.4 seconds and the quarter-mile in 14.1 at 100 mph."

LMAO they must've paid someone off to list that... this thing is never touching anything close to 19mpg in the city. 14s quarter is also a bit slow for the trap (should be in high 13s). their 60' was probably in mid 2s...

hahha.. I rarely looked at the MPG section because my 07 HR did 9 mpg on average and i mean normal city driving! It's like asking a 350Z driver "hey, do you drive for MPGs?"
That stupid 5 gear trans kept those RPMs at 3,300 at 80 MPH on the highway so PLENTY of MPGs went to hell.. Good car, but not for highway driving..

Mine has slid from 25 to a 19MPG average over the years.

Replacement of the stock O2 sensors @ 140k miles may bump it back up a few .
