07 Sedan runs 13.7's.
Before picking up a 2007 G35 6MT Sedan last month, I had owned 3 BMW's in a row, including a 95 M3 and a 2001 M5. I test drove the G35 and the 335i Sedan for a full day each while making my decision. Pricing wasn't even an issue for me because BWM was offering huge incentives at the end of the year that made the cars cost nearly the same on a lease (though I ended up just buying the G35)
Anyway... The 335 is noticibly quicker. Particularly in how "punchy" it feels rolling on the throttle at 20-40mph (entrance ramp starting speeds). It's even faster-feeling than the current M3 (which I also test drove for an after-noon) The M3 has to be wound out to be fast, whereas the 335 just goes like it had a 350ci V8.
However, other than the acceleration, I thought the G35 was better in every way. It has more room. It has more gadgets (HD-based Nav, oh yeah!). Most people think the G35 is a prettier car inside and out than the 3-series. The 6-speed has a shorter throw in the G35 and, at least with the active steering, the G35 feels more responsive in transitions.
The only complaint I have with the 6-speed G35 is that it has a high-rpm vibration that can be felt in the clutch pedal and the shifter. Both G35 6MT's I drove felt the same in this regard and the dealer said it was "normal".

//the Lexus 350is was just too small
///the TL-S is front-wheel drive, bleh

G35 = 306 bhp at 6800 rpm and 268 lb.-ft. of torque (Sport AT 3,538 lb)
IS350 = 306 bhp and 277 lb.-ft. of torque (3,527lb)
Not that big of a difference. Gear ratios hurt us horribly.
