Upgrade of a lifetime!

2000 Toyota Tacoma 4x2 Regular cab 5MT to 2008 Infiniti G35 Journey

I used to carry lawmowers in my truck bed, ha!

My history of cars: 1990 Honda Civic Si 5MT>>2000 Toyota Tacoma 4x2>>2008 Infiniti G35 Journey. Buying the Tacoma was the WORST decision in my life, I was like trucks are cool, it's RWD, ok then. Should've bought Celica GT instead, oh well, it's all in the past and it's all good now! My Civic Si used to run 1/4 mile in 14.8, fully ported head, intake-extrudehone manifold, throttle body, and exhaust. 270/270 Mugen cam, 4/1000 inch mill grind, msd ignition, K&N air filter, DC header, HKS exhaust and clutch. Full normally aspirited. Lol I still remember...!

Previous 2003 BMW 530i. Hard to say. The BMW had many functional tweaks. I miss the angel eyes. I am not missing the cost right now. I am very much impressed with my new car.

Up and down for me. I had to tone it down a little, so I got a g35 coupe.

My car history since year 2001

89 galant (donated)
98 eclipse gs (traded)
90 240sx coupe (sold, fun car)
05 350Z base (total wrecked. pls dont ask me how)
03 325i (co-worker continued payments)
03 escalade 6.0L (friend continued payments)
06 g35 coupe

- there are some pros and cons of course, from the previous cars i had... like the Z feels more quicker (but not faster), 325 have better suspension, escalade's factory boss sounds better, etc., but in over all, i wouldn't trade back any of those i had with my G! Im very pleased and happy with my car! (but i wish i can afford a turbo kit though)

I came from a 2001.5 Audi S4 6MT with full trubo-back dual exhaust, chip, H&R springs, Bilstien shocks, 18" wheels, and a few other things. I loved that car and still miss it. Dual turbo v6, Quattro AWD, 4 doors, huge trunk, incredible interior, timeless body lines. It was one of a kind.

I now have a 07 G35S 6MT. Power-wise, it is about the same. I haven't put it through th etrials yet. I hate the fact that the tires are so pricey. I am happy with it and would say it is a lateral move. There are some things that are available on cars now days that weren't in 2001. I am looking forward to a more reliable car in the G35S.

Downgraded from a BMW after the lease ran out. I did not want to lease again and comparing this car to the 335xi was tough. In the end about a 7k to 10k difference in price sold me on the G35x. I loved the BMW refinement but the fuel pump issues I read about scared me a little. Proud ower of the G

No comparison between my last 4-wheel vehicle & the Infiniti. Two different purposes.

Vehicles owned from current to oldest:
2007 Infiniti G35S 6MT
2007 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe
2003 Dodge RAM 1500 Quad-Cab w/Hemi
2001 Suzuki TL 1000 S
2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition.
1997 Suzuki Intruder 1400
1996 Oldsmobile Calle'
1992 Suzuki Katana 600
1990 Ford Festiva
1979 Yamaha YZ125 dirt bike
1973 Chevy Nova (three on the tree!)
1971 Honda CB400 Hondamatic

Seems like I'm missing one, but I can't figure out what it was at the moment. LOL.

- '98 Toyota Tacoma (bagged on gold Volks)
- '04 Lexus IS300 (hammered on bronze te37s)
