Somehow I have my doubts about how well tape will work right under the glass when it's 110 degrees outside and about 180 inside the car.

That seal on mine has come loose about 3 times now. It rattles when it's loose and I press it back on and it stays put for a week or two then loosens up again.

That seems to be a shoddy fix for something that should've been made correctly the first time out.

I noticed this problem while sitting in the back seat of my co-workers G35S.

I immediately went to my car to check and it seems to be fine.

Interesting - mine came loose at the dealer, they fixed it, and it hasn't come loose since.

I'm guessing that your dealer used something a little stronger than "fabric tape"

Actually no - he just snapped it back in place. Dunno what will happen in summer.

My dealer used what looks like super glue.

It's not going anywhere. It's kinda permanent, but who cares?

So did my dealer and one end still came off so I just yanked it off the rest of the way. It now rests in my trunk and I don't even notice it missing.

Funny thing. When I went into the deal reporting the issue, she said: "Do you still have it or did it fly off down the road?".

Did yours fly off down the road?
