Thanks for the info, mikepro & sjharris. Well, if it will take 60 days, by then I won't need the seat warmers (it was about 7 degrees F today). But, it's good to know they've acknowledged the issue.

Too true, this weekend is supposed to reach 55 degrees in Calgary but at least next winter our seats will work the way we were told that they would.

Seriously, thank you. I was starting to get really upset about this.

Well I go in to the dealer tomorrow to have me seat heater replaced.
He said they hadn't heard anything from Infiniti on the issue.

So will replacing the seat heater actually fix the problem, or is it going to be the same deal??

I would wait.. It may not fix anything and you might just generate more problems with a bad install, scratches.. etc.

Give it some time, let the dealers get the proper fix and some practice fixing the problem correctly.. just my .02 cents

+1. I would wait as well until their is an official TSB released from Infiniti.

i don't think we need to wait for the official bulletin. i just think we need to get what mikepro is getting from his dealer. my dealer confirmed the same thing as mikepro. i think anything else will not fix the issue.

i think that there is going to be a big backorder on these parts though now.

This is my first luxury car in the US and I agree. I'll give them a chance but if another month goes by, I am back to Lexus despite the additional cost in two to three years time. Sorry Nissan, um I mean Infiniti.

My dealership here in CA just called me to see how my new car was doing. I mentioned the heated seats problem, and they told me that corporate is definitely well-aware of the problem and is working on a TSB. Just confirming the info in this thread is all.

OT: I also mentioned the chrome grill problem (easily chips). They haven't heard of it and will take a look at it during my first service.

IMO almost all dealerships will wait out on this fix until an offcial TSB has been issued by Infiniti.
