Thumbs down Anyone ever contact Infiniti About Grill defects?

My grill is chipping terribly with only 1700 miles on it. I just left a message for the sales manager at the dealership about what tree to bark up about this. Does anyone else have any information on this? I know someone was asking about how to contact Infiniti a while back to complain about the music box features, but I didn't see any definitive contact information in that thread. This grill problem is truly sad, its much much tooo nice of a car to have such a cheap flimsy grill that chips so easily

Bump. Grill sucks. Already got several pits in mine and I rarely drive on
the highway.

Hello, all:

The grille on my G35 Journey looks like it has chickenpox , and I've only got 2900 miles on the car. This, and the malfunctioning heated seat on the passenger side are my primary complaints when I go in for the first oil service.

Regards,

Joey

Ditto on both! 1300 miles / Journey.

be nice..? not that i'd be mean or anything, but i get tired of hearing that this is somehow a requirement to get defects fixed while still under warranty.

Did they replace it with the exact same thing? Seems kind of pointless.... unless they want to put me on a plan to swap it out every 1200 miles or something?!?!

I tend to agree. If this part which is integral for the car's appearance, is defective, there needs to be an upgraded replacement part. If not, you will be replacing your grill sooner than oil changes. This is not acceptable.

I may be nice the first time.. but if they replace it with the same crappy part... then next time will be more difficult to convince them.

I will wait for an updated part.. then I will be nice... maybe

Guys: I am just stating what worked for me. Who knows if Infiniti will address this. I am getting this grill covered in 3M clear bra material, to be safe.

I bet you'll be pulling off chunks of chrome finish if you ever take it off.

Anyone thinking of painting the chrome to match their car color?

I'd be thinking about it....
But I'd get a second one to work on.

If they ever sort this out you may need the OEM chromie to get the warranty replacement.
