So last night, I'm driving out to band practice, and part of the drive is down this longish windy 2-lane backroad, which I've especially enjoyed since getting this car.

I flip over into DS, switch on the brights, and start getting into it. I see some headlights not too far behind in my rearview mirror. As I'm gaining speed, these lights are staying about the same distance behind me.

I'm thinking to myself "I wonder what s/he's driving" -- because every other time I've driven down this road, the car behind fades off into the distance, and I either whip my way through there, or come up behind another car.

I'm edging up a little more, and the headlights are still there.

When I pull up to the light on the other end of the road, and the light turns green, I go straight through, and check my mirror to see what kind of car it was.

It turned left, and I saw the rear quarter of an IP 07 G35 Sedan!

 

Haha, very nice! I've still only seen two on the road where I live.

 

I've seen couple of them and I actually purposely parked next to another Black G35 owner in Daly City

 

Great story! Have yet to see one come up behind me... I'm just guessing the headlights looked pretty intimidating.

As an aside - what kinda band & what do you play?

 

I've seen 4 here in the Greater Vancouver area ... 2 IPs, 1 BO and 1 PG. I noticed that everytime you see another G travelling the same direction as you are, they tend to respect you in such a way that they don't pass/overtake or pull right beside your car. I do the same when I same an 07 G. It's the opposite with people who drive different cars ... they seem to challenge your new car by speeding up and pulling right beside you or maybe they just want to get a good gliimpse of our new G.

Last I checked, I don't daydream THAT much, hahaha. No, actually I had to take my FX back up to the dealer for the second consecutive day. The shutter which helps control the low-to-high beam action and vice versa was damaged after they put in the new housings (recall). They gave me an '07x. I was very impressed with X. It isn't nearly as sluggish as the previous gen.
