Trip to Dealer..

So I went to the dealer to get some touch up paint for my chip.. which by the way they don't have touch up paint just touch up pens?? anyone use one of those? Does it work well? Well that work with the Langka kit?

Okay so I mentioned my grill and showed them.. basically they said that is what will happen when you drive on the road.. that it will get chips

I showed my crease in the leather bolster.. they said it happens because it is soft leather and it is normal

I also got my first oil change (for free) but they spilled oil on my car which I didnt find out till I got home.. I didnt do the car wash thanks to the advice here..

I am not really happy.. but I love my G.. I wish she could just stay nice and new forever..

It really hurts when something happens to her..

Dealerships suck and can't be trusted. That's my opinion anyway. I don't think it says anything negative about the car though. It's just a sad fact of life.

Yea I personally can't stand dealers AKA stealers.. actually this dealer isnt too bad compared to others I have been to.. I did get some replacement parts out of them.. my trunk lip because it was damaged when I got it and a shifter.. so not complaining too much..

I am pi$$ed about the oil.. but what can ya do?

I am just really worried about my chip in the bumper.. It is hard having a new car and trying to keep it new and its only 3 months old..

I waited 4 months for my free touch-up paint. When I got it, I was surprised that it was a ballpoint pen. If you twist open the cap, however, and you remove the safety cap inside, you'll find the expected brush on the other end. I'm not sure what applications the ballpoint end is for, because it requires some pressure to get the paint rolling out.

I used the touchup paint to make my own bumper plugs:

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Is there any other dealer in the area that you can try instead?

As for the leather creasing... it is pretty normal. All of my previous cars I've had or seen with leather interior, had that. Nothing you can do about it. Leather creases when pressure is applied on it...

As for the touch-up paint: My dealer gave me a free touch up paint and a box of Laxol leather wipes when I picked up the car. It may be useful, but you really need to be careful with it and know what you are doing. It is both a pen and brush - 2 in 1.

Goofy, btw I re-used my Diamond Graphite plugs from my coupe on my new Blue Slate sedan. I used the touch up paint as well, and it works great. Just not sure whether I should bother with buying a clear coat bottle and apply that too. I gotta post some pics.

Can I ask if the car is leased or purchased? If leased, get him to sign off that this is normal so you don't get charged when you turn it in.

It was purchased..

So I brought my touch up pen (the dealer charged me $13.95 for it!) and the guy says it doesnt match AT ALL.. and it is K23 which is my color so I am bringing it back..

but basically the guy touched it up and its about as good as its gonna get.. I am pi$$ed about the touch up pen not matching means I cant use my Langka kit.. oh yea and they said they have the 2 and 1 pen coming but no idea when.. mine is just a pen..

oh yea I wanted to add that sucks they put the front plate screws on..

I am so glad they forgot to put mine on

I'm pretty lucky to have an amazing service department near me...
Metro Infiniti in Monrovia CA.

No I don't work for them!
I don't even buy the car there, just go for service - and they are really good.

BTW, those bumper plugs look fantastic.
