All cars that chip down to the metal will rust - natural oxidation process of metal + moisture/oxygen.

Best way to combat it is to make sure you wax your car to avoid chips, and when you get a paint chip, try to get it fixed ASAP. You can wax over a chip potentially too to cover it and protect it from the elements.

Exactly Cheryl! I have owned a lot of cars, and no matter what the badge, if you get a chip down to the metal, it's gonna get rust.

Oh, and I don't find the Infiniti paint to be poor quality at all!
