Official 2007 Infiniti G35 Negotiated Deal Thread
Vpp program $3K discount
My company is on the Vpp list, for which Infinity provides special discounts. I would not have been aware of that if my dealer hadn't suggested I ask. They gave me a number to call to check. I got a big discount on my 2005 G35 6 speed. I just traded it for a 2007 G35 6 speed, liquid platinum, premium package & navigation. I got $3,046 off list on this car. I don't recall what I got off on the 2005. It's worth your while to see if your company is on the list. Ask your dealer for the phone number. There are many many companies on the list. It's actually a Nissan Vpp list, but Infinity is included.

#1 - $2500
#2 - $2400
#3 - Wouldn't even tell us as we had to be fully serious into buying it right away
So dealership #3 was out, however we thought that the first dealership looked really flexible. My dad just pressured the salesman and bombarded him with figures/quotes which we received from other dealerships (and EXAGERATED big time). For example, from dealership #2 we got a quote for $2400..however we went back to the dealership which we liked and told him that we got a quote for $3000 and that they even seemed flexible enough to give off more. All in all, just give them impression that "either give me a good deal and I'll buy it RIGHT NOW or leave, or go to another dealership and make them happy." Dealerships hate to lose a customer over a couple of hundred dollars.

The sedan has pretty much cooled off. Anything close to tissue is pretty much the standard these days. With hold back, and the mass production of these cars, there should be absolutely no reason to pay much more than a few dollars over cost or actual cost. This is not the same scenario as the original introduction of the 03 G35 Coupe. I expect even the revised 08 Coupe to be discounted within a reasonable period of time. These are not completely redesigned cars. They are just new and improved.
