I got the 2007 G35 journey w/ premium pkg for invoice! They told me that Infiniti allows only 2 cars to be sold for invoice each month per region and I got one of them.

Ironically, the actual car was a inter-dealer exchange from one of the dealers that quoted me $1,200 higher.

Thanks for the tip. I used edmunds and got flooded with calls and emails. I am at after looking over the emails and responding to a couple I am at 500 over invoice for sport/prem/tech/nav. I think that is pretty good for that combo. I could get closer to invoice if it was a more basic car (at least that is what they said). So thanks again I might be picking it up tomorrow.

All depends on your age and driver history. My G and 05 MDX for $488 over 6 months, with Travelers.

When you guys say x amount over invoice, is this the amount with or without the options?

I'm looking in buying a Journey with the Navi and Premium Package. Edmunds is telling me 36,199 with the options I want, is this the price I should try to negotiate?

What the heck is travelers? If I can get insurance for less than 1,000 per year, that would be great.(22 yrs, no bad driving record)

Picked up my new G on Saturday!

G35S 6MT - Blue Slate - Graphite - Premium Pack

All negotiating done over email and phone. I was offered $500 over invoice, told him I wanted $100 over invoice, and that's what I got.

This car is a steal imo, for $32,5XX

Then when I was with the finance dude, that tries to get you to buy all the other crap, so they can actually make some money off you, I made another deal. I think it's a pretty good deal. He wanted to sell me the 3 year extended bumper to bumper warranty for $1200, it's normally over $2000. I told him no. Then he says he will throw in free window tinting, for the rear windows only. (Which I knew I was going to do anyway.) I told him it's a deal if he tints all the windows and he drops the price to $1000. He says he can't go that low. I say, fine then no deal. He just sits there for a while thinking, so I stay quiet. He then says he can't drop the price to $1000, but he will lower my loan rate from 6.35% to 5.99%. I agree to this.

Summary: For $1200 I get: 3 year extended bumper to bumper warranty, all windows tinted, and a 0.36% lower rate.

All said, I am a happy camper. This car sure beats my 2000 Sentra I have been driving.

how long did the negotiation take from 500 over to 100 over? a few minutes?

The summer buying seasons is approaching, so I think many dealers are getting fat incentives. Just look at all the 1.9% and 0.9% financing for other car brands.....

I think it will be easy to get invoice price on the G35 from now till the end of the year. Maybe even a few hundred below invoice.

It took about a 2 minute long phone conversation.

The hardest part of the whole deal was finding the right 6MT. I really wanted Blue Slate, and did not necessarily want to pay for Nav. For a while there I thought I was going to have to do a factory order, but they were able to find the one I wanted in the area.

Well, I can finally add my .02$ to this thread, after significant lurking I finally went and beat up the dealer. They originally offered me $1000 off for a 6mt sport with premium and nav. I told them I wouldnt pay more than $35k plus ttl. I actually felt sorry for my sales guy, cause i kept sending him back to his sales manager with the same $35k number. I ended getting up to walk out when he went from $36k to $35.9K, told him his sales manager was d!cking me around and I didn't appreciate my time being wasted. Before I hit the door he gave me the $35k. Might not be the best deal, but its harder than hell to find 6mt with nav up here in western NY so I went with a realistc number.

Only thing is that they need to have one redirected from another dealers allotment and this is where my question comes in. How long should I give them before I start bothering the heck of of them?

Hello Everyone. My first post here. I use the same handle on all my car boards, so if you're from the MINI, Porsche, Subaru, Z-28... and the list goes on, world at some point, the name may be familiar.

I just pulled the trigger on a LP over Graphite G35S/A5 with every option except the 4 wheel active steer, $37,866 out the door. Fresh off the truck with the plastic still on it, so it will only have the prep miles when I pick it up.

I'll be around here for a couple years, see you on the road.

X2
