I dont think they ever get to a point where they dont get additional bonuses for moving additional units. That would seem to be counterproductive...

What would I know though? I am an engineer, not a manager/owner of a dealership-

that's believable. I've read the same before.

maybe i should mention that on my next negotiation

out the door 34760.

NO TRADE-IN. Bought in Northern Virginia area.

Where did I buy it? @ Tyson's Corner, VA Infiniti Dealership. Avoid Jim Coleman (Bethesda)/ (they are not good at pricing)

How did I make a deal like that? Cause i'm a beast. Psych. Um.. first day of February I went in and I shopped two dealers out, and they wanted to get a jump start on the month. Also, I had independent financing.

No the car was not a demo. Come on guys. I bought the car with 7 miles on it.

I'm wondering if anyone can beat 400 under INVOICE not MSRP.

Oh another tip, when you go to negotiate, tell them that you saw these cars selling for 600 under invoice online, and then meet at 500 under invoice. Nice right. I know, its true though, I got mine for 400 under invoice and I think if I tried hard enough, I could have gotten it to 600 under invoice. Anyway. Toodles.

I live in Virginia also; however I brought a 2007 G35S BlK with permium no navi (harder to find color) at Holman Infiniti of Maple Shade New Jersey(MUST see Leon Trojan sales) for a little more than you paid. (I live 200 plus miles from New Jersey) I save more than $1200 by buying out of state.

A friend of mine owned a G35 coupe before getting a Lexus IS. He did look at the new G35 sedan, but Holman Infiniti won't give him a good deal. Supposedly, if you shop at a dealer that is somewhat far from you, you'll get a better deal. They know they have to compete on price to get you in. By the way, he lives next town over.

Go into a dealership on the last evening of the month, if its close to closing time and they are 1-2 units short of a quota, I guarantee you'll get the deal of your life. It becomes worth it for the dealer to lose $2-3K in a car in order to reach a quota that may pay them an extra $15k. If they are too far off from being able to make a quota, its just another normal negotiation...
There is a holdback, so if it were say $1000, then $400 under invoice, the dealer would make $600 plus whatever factory to dealer stuff they had. Usually cars don't go for under invoice unless they are not selling. That sounds like a great deal. For example, if anyone said they got $9,000 off of a GM product, Lincoln Town Car, etc., nobody would think twice. Heck, Maximas have been notorious for selling 4-7k below list, and under invoice, for many generations, depending on the rebate. I just didn't think that applied to an '07 G35.

That may have happened, but I don't think there's any correlation. I did the opposite on my car, I got quotes from far away, and bought 4 miles down the road. They were willing to match, and asked me why bother driving so far away, just buy from them.

Anytime under invoice is a good deal. How did you do it and which dealer in what state?

I got it from a Dealer in north jersey (lynnes in bloomfield), basically i gave him a price of 35800 and said I am ready to put a deposit down, lets make the deal. He tried to convince me that he is losing money but hey if the dealer wants to sell it he will, he finally gave in, so it all worked out for me.
