Thanks to treacherous and others. Looking forward to trying some of this out. Like many I find myself moving the temperature dial often in order to stay comfortable.

Sorry if this is off the topic, but I have one of those ionic breeze air purifiers plugged in and it does a great job keeping the new car smell in tact. Just thought id share that

Some or most of this is speculation since SM isn't exactly clear.

The only full manual Fresh/Recirc mode is line 2 in grid. In this mode I believe it will stay in selected mode until changed even after vehicle restarts. I think the only time an override would occur is when Defroster is selected and then it defaults to Fresh outside.

I also believe in any of the Auto modes that vehicle may change setting based on temp and speed. I know in some of the Volvos if you come to a stop in traffic it will switchover to recirc to prevent exhaust fumes from being sucked in. I haven't confirmed if this occurs on the G or not.

This will require some further testing.
So I have mine set on this setting (grid line 2), but it's still doing the same thing where if I turn on the AC, it will go to Fresh automatically and I would still have to put it in recirc manually. Same things happens when I turn off the AC and it also goes to Fresh automatically. Anyone know how I can get it so that it will stay in Recirc all the time?
