Lets do a count of who has had what problems on their G

Ok let me begin off the top of the list of items my G has encountered:

-HEATED SEAT PROBLEMS
-SUNROOF FINISHER FELL OFF
-WIND NOISE COMING FROM DRIVER WINDOW
-RATTLE SOUND COMING FROM PASSENGER SEATBELT AREA
-ONCE IN A WHILE I GET THE DASH RATTLE
-KEY FOB PROBLEM HAPPENED TWICE
-MY GRILL HAS A MILLION CHIPS IN IT

I feel as tho my G has suffered from all the problems people complain about. Im kinda pissed off about it because its a new car and i hate nagging the dealer about these issues.

Who else has had these problems? I know my G was one of the first batch manufactured so i cant really complain...well yes i can i paid #$@$#%$# for this %$#$%$# car!!!

Also lets help each other out and give solutions to these problems....hopefully people have solutions that i can do in my garage and not go to Infiniti

The rattle from the seat belt area might be that leg support piece that extends out at the front of the seat. Thats the only rattle I've had at 6k miles. This is easily remedied my simply pulling it all the way back in when no one is sitting there.

Only other problem are the grille chips. Boys these are pretty small problems,
its a car that is going to wear. . .its not build like a tank or would you want it to be. I've been in newer upscale cars all of which have their share of minor problems, no car is perfect. Shoot youd be suprised at the laundry list of minor problems my bosses BMW 7 series has. . .and thats well more than double what our cars cost.

just my 2 cents

I love my G! chipping grill and all

  • Sunroof finisher problem (dealer fixed under warranty)
  • Seated heat issue (dealer fixing under warranty)
  • Occasional bluetooth issues, not a big deal
  • Chips in grill
  • TPM has cratered twice, this time requiring a new TPM sensor
  • Difficulty in removing grin from face when anywhere near the car

To me the list of problems above are minor annoyances in an otherwise great car, that ideally wouldn't happen but aren't a big deal. I work in high tech, so am familiar with the issues that come with brand-new versions of products.

Re the passenger seatbelt rattle, you've probably already checked this - but if the latch of the seatbelt is not back beside the seat (in other words, someone gets out and the latch gets trapped slightly twisted by the seat) it will rattle. My rattle has been fixed by just putting the latch fully back beside the seat. Hope it works for you too.

One month, 1375 miles, no problems so far. I do wish that the side bolsters had more adjustment to them though. They're a little narrow for my taste.

I haven't tried the heated seats b/c it's 162 degrees here. What's the defect with them?

as for mee.
-rattle squeek thats in the dash is actually the windshield rubbing against some metal piece behind the dash in the right corner. so i had the windshield replaced with some new type rubber.
-the sunroof liner fell out tsb is to put double sided tape. dealer super glued it on.
-steering column moving after intial start up, had new one put in still does the same thing
-front passenger door speaker rattle felt tape put in by dealer.
-i think this is a new one on here. shifter button sticking hard to press in and shift from park, whole shifter assembly replaced.
-rock chips like a ****. a;jklhdas;fjkhaspiuas;ghasl;fhj even after the teflon coat.

I've had (have) all these. Just started hearing the rattles over the last few weeks (9000 miles). Any advice would be appreciated.

Did the dealer do all that for no charge?

cant really agree with you. i had a 96 camry which was noowhere near the cost of my G and and 11 years with the same care for the car and by far less chipping with 100k miles as opposed to the 2.5k that i have on my G. older maximas the same thing as if they were scratch resistent. the new G and also from what i know the new lexus in my case the 06 gs300 the paint seems to so sensitive and brittle every little touch of wind it pretty much makes it noticible.
