Am I the only one who thinks this car is slow?

Listen I know its human nature to always want more, and its quite possible that its also a mix of me being used to the car + 20inch heavy wide wheels. I honestly dont think the car is that fast though. Dont get me wrong it moves, especially for a 4 door family car, but I dont know. Maybe its because were lacking a little bit on the torque side, especially low end but sometimes the car feels sluggish. Granted its also been very hot and humid here in NY, and the few nights that we had that were nice, the car did feel ALOTTT better.

And its the fastest car I have ever owned, so no its not like im comparing it to a ligenfelter z06 or something.

this car is also the fastest car i have ever owned, but i do think it is a little slow. i think it's faster than most cars on the road but i also think it's a well-balanced car which is more important to me than having all out performance. my brother owns a z06 and it is fast as hell but it's not very practical

The G Sport is the fastest car I've ever owned, too; and also the most stable secure, hefty and heavy. Perhaps it's the weight of the car and the fact that we've driven it for a while that makes some of us question how the fast the car really is, especially the low end torque. And yes, it's faster than just about any sedan on the road, excepting MB AMGs and the like.

Are we spoiled?

possibly...i mean ive driven some real sick cars...chipped 2007 S600's, cls55 amgs with chips and pulleys, cls 63, m6 to name a few...dont get me wrong im not trying to have the G compare to those cars, because that would be stupid....but its def a litttle on the sluggish side at times. I would love to throw my 18's back on and see how I feel.

The G is the fastest car I've ever owned but not the fastest I've driven. I drove an CLK 55 AMG that was stupid fast as well as a chipped M3. With some bases for comparison, the G is faster than 85-90% of the cars I see on the road so its good enough for me.

Most HP I've ever owned but in my amateur opinion it does feel a bit sluggish out of first (got a 6MT). I'm more of a smooth out of first kind of guy but I just gotta say that when you do push it, it sounds like hell - feels like I'm abusing the car. Dunnoh maybe just me.

Well, 0-60 about 5.2sec is not that slow, is it? If you wanna have a smooth start like Lexus with little press on the acceleration, G is not for you, but if you kick on the acceleration of G hard, it's gonna bring you heaven very soon with some nice roaring from your engine.

I don't think so - agree it doesn't have much low-end, but since I'm usually running through the gears, it goes pretty fast (on stock 18s). It also gets me in trouble as I hit 100+ without noticing on the highway...

I think the reason it gives this impression is that there isn't a lot of low-end torque, so you don't feel a "punch". But it's faster than most of the cars out there, it's just less in-your-face.

It definitely has some get up and go go. If you're not paying attention, you'll be doing 80mph+ down the highway!

It's got great acceleration and is fast!!!!!!!
If you want something with amazing acceleration, go try a motorcycle.

Tell that to the guy with the 335i, although I don't see too many of those, hell I don't even see many 330i's.
