Like the M, closer to the driver (left).

I think I'll do a little investigation on this. I really like the M shift **** much better than the stock one and wouldn't mind swapping it out. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Thanks, let me know if I can help.

Anyone know where to find the service manuals for both, we could probably start there.

This is out of the G service manual. From the instructions, it looks like a 30 second job to remove the shift ****.

I am currently downloading the M service manual from here so I plan on taking a look at it.

Looks to be fairly simple and I would imagine that the M will be close to the same. I think we are going to run into an issue with the ring where the shift boob meets the **** being a different shape on the M and G.

Yep, that might be the kicker for sure. There's gotta be a way though.

Changing the shift boot would probably work. Both boots look very similar, just with different rings.

Just buy ring off M and swap it along with shift ****.

You can keep the boot.

On the V36s the manual gate is located closer to the driver unlike the gates in the V35s and the FX which has the gate located away from the driver. Now if only Infiniti could figure out that it's supposed to be "pull for upshift" and "push for downshift" a la BMW, the A/T guys could finally rest easy.
