2008 Infiniti G35 Sedan Negotiated Deal Thread
#361
My G Has Arrived!!
The G I was waiting on finally came in 2 days ago. Signed papers and picked it up yesterday!
'08 Black/Black Sport 6MT
Premium
Painted Splash Guards
Trunk Mat
Trunk Cargo Net
Tinted Windows
MSRP - $36,635*
Invoice - $33,553*
Paid - $33,890
*Does not factor price of Tint
When I originally negotiated, the car was supposed to have illuminated kick plates but of course it came without them. I didn't notice the IKPs weren't on the car until after I left the dealership, so I called back and they agreed to tint my windows instead.
If anyone wants a referral for the best salesperson in Dallas, PM me. She is the most reasonable and puts no pressure on you at all. I talked to many dealerships, and no one came close to the service she provided when I was shopping around. She has worked for Infiniti for 16 years, has an excellent reputation, and a good chunk of her customers are repeat and referrals. I simply cannot praise her enough.
I also got to know another excellent salesman in Houston, so if you're shopping in that area also PM me. He worked very hard to work a deal for me, but didn't have and couldn't find a black/black 6MT for me (the one I bought was the only one I could find in TX, and I had to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive).
I absolutely LOVE this car. My sister has an IS250 and the G blows it away in terms of having character and being so damn fun to drive.

Hi! I'm a new owner a G35x! Just purchased yesterday. The dealer told me this was a great deal but I'm not so sure. Either way I'm happy to be driving in my new car!

Premium Package
Cargo Net
MSRP: 40,025 USD
OTD price: 36,900 USD (including tax, tags, freight, processing fees, etc)

Anybody know if the Conquest Cash is still available for July and what are the July Incentives?

Oh yeah, one more question. When people say try to get w/in (+/-) 500 of invoice. Is that before TTL or after?

For example, here in Indiana we pay 7% sales tax on the difference between sales price minus trade in value. For me that came to over $2000. In some states, they pay sales tax on entire amount and other states do not collect sales tax on cars (at least that's my impression.)

Great Deal
I'm about to pull the trigger on my new G35X. Internet quote from one of the two dealerships here in town:
G35X
Blue Slate/Graphite
Premium
Nav
Sport
$37350 TTL
I admit I was a bit surprised at this quote out of the gate.
They are also offering repaired hail damage cars for another $2000 off. I looked at a couple and I couldn't tell, but I was still a bit leery.

As someone that has already worked out a price (USAA Member Pricing = Invoice + $500) with my dealer (Infiniti of Tyson's Corner in Virginia), I'm really interested to see what other fees and charges various dealerships have tried to inflict on you after the price of the car was already settled. What kind of last minute maintenance plans, tire replacement plans, etc. did they try to sell you.
I've got a 2008 G35S 6MT (premium, nav, spoiler, splashguards, trunk mat, trunk net) arriving tenatively on the 25th of this month and I haven't been asked to put down a deposit yet. I'm waiting until that point (or whenever he asks for the down payment) to go over the list of charges to see where they plan on stiffing me. So far we're at $37,788.08 for an OTD price.
Basically, what kind of charges should I keep an eye out for?

These deals can be combined for a max of $3000 cash on a Sedan. Everyone should be targeting at or under invoice with this kind of cash rebate.

Edmunds has them posted on the incentives section. All dealers have the info as well.
You get $1000 for owner loyalty. Then you can choose 1.9% APR or additional $2000 cash.
Interest rates are fairly low anyway so $2000 cash is probably better. At this point, any deal that is not extremely close to invoice is not a good deal IMO, even if you opt for the 1.9% apr.
