So my mom took her M35 in to get serviced this morning and they gave her a journey as a loaner. Of course i went home on my lunch break to drive it and compare it to my S. didnt like it that much. The one thing that was kinda wierd, is that the throttle response and brakes were alot touchier than my S... seems like it should be the other way arround. anyone else experienced this?

Prolly hasn't had the ECU reflash for throttle control done yet.

Is that reflash for all G35 (or jsut S)

I think all. It's to stop the "jerk" at takeoff.

Plus the loaner prolly has regular gas in it (mostly the cheapest variety) - and a lot of hard (*ahem*) miles

I've had 07 X loaners before, and also noticed the more sensitive braking. After one day, man was I glad to get back into my Sport with premium and nav.

Do they only have G35s as as loaners? I would like to get an M as a loaner as I would be more likely to purchase one if I had a chance to drive it before (for more than a test drive)

i think they have all types of cars as loaners, they just have more g's than any other car plus it's the cheapest. so it just makes sense for infiniti to let the customers borrow cars that won't cost the most out of all their models to fix.

I thought it was just me! I brought in my 6MT yesterday for the clutch recall, and hoping they'll flash my ECU with the latest firmware that fixes the surge. But that upgrade really only addresses a cold engine start.

When I drove the G35 non-sport 5AT loaner, at first I thought to myself, "Hmm... why does the automatic seem faster and louder?" Then, I realized that every time I lightly tapped the throttle, I'd be at 3000rpm in a flash, tossing my head back. I swear, I scared the living crap out of other drivers on small local streets and in turns.

At least my dealership doesn't require us to refill the tank, so I can drive it as hard as I want.

is her M35 a recent model year? did they add power since 2005 like the G35 did?

I would love to know if the newest M35/M35x feels as fast as the 2008 G35x (auto non sport) drives.....

The M35 is nice, but it's definitely no where near as quick as the G35x (the M45 is close). I test drove both before going with the G35x. Also, the M35's steering is a lot lighter in feel than the G. The nice thing with the M is the luxury and space - definitely a lot more luxurious. Also, if you get the upgraded sound system with 5.1 surround built into the headrests, that is an amazing sound system.
