Exactly. Someone could theoretically steal your car if you left it running, but they couldn't turn it off or they'd be stuck.

Ahhh got it, I've never tried to do so but someone told me that the anti theft alarm would b on until it detects the key fob or dealer resets it with the infiniti scanner.

The reason they let the car drive without a key fob is if the battery dies while driving the car doesn't shutoff. I wish however they would have put a lock in place so that you could not put it in gear without key in hand or in key slot.
This is correct, the fob as long as your more then i believe 2ft away will not work, however break a window and all bets are off.
becasue i leave it running all the time locked when going in stores ect for quick trips in and out..but with the window tint a window break would be rather tough

That's from factory. It's just a way of programming the horn not to go off when locking. Do the same thing again, and the horn should come on. I have a maxima but in guessing its the same concept. Correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck!
Anyone know how tro make the lights turn on when walking up to your car? Iv done it a few times when unlocking it with the key fob, as soon as i open the door the lights come on (at night) and a few times by just unlocking it twice while walking up to it they turn on. just wanted to know if theres a way to make the lights turn on from a distance with the key fob.
