Your car doors were not locked before you put the key in the trunk and closed it. If the car doors are not locked then the trunk will not re-open with the key inside. You can re-open the trunk from inside the car.
When you turned off your car and exited you could not lock and close the car door because the key was in the trunk, right?

that could be i dont really remember how it happened. I could have unlocked the door while holding the clothes in my hand as i walked by or somehow unlocked em later. I only have 1 fob so im a little hesitant to try it. either was thought it was weird i was able to start the car with the key in the trunk.

Remove the mechanical key from the iKey fob and you can do all the testing you like. If something goes wrong you can still get in the car using the mechanical key .
I can also start my car if the key is in the trunk. But the good thing is that I cant lock the car doors when I turn the car off and get out.

Does anybody know if you can use the mechanical key to lock the fob in the car? Like in the cupholder or something

Yes you can but keep in mind that all it would take for someone to run off with your G would be to smash the window and go.
Not a good idea to lock the iKey in the car.

Wouldn't you just be able to push the button on the door lock? I mean isn't the keyfaub within range of either door to be able to unlock it?

I actually did this by accident once.. was washing my car and closed the trunk but it popped right back up b/c the key was in it... Maybe theres a time limit or a radius? I don't know but I can tell you 100% I had the key in the trunk and it popped open automatically.

Blue tooth phone call

- If you are talking on the blue tooth headset, you enter the car and you turn the power on (I didn't start the engine though), and then you power off your blue tooth headset, your car's blue tooth connection will automatically pick it up from there and allow you to use the car's blue tooth to continue the phone call.

- And then if you start the engine, the blue tooth enabled call won't get dropped, but you can't talk when the engine is starting

Kinda handy when that won't interrupt your call.

^ I guess that's handy if you just want to sit in the car before turning it on, right?

If i'm approaching my care while on the phone, get in and start the car, once the BT connection is established the call just transfers seamlessly. Same thing when i turn the car off and have the phone already on my ear.

it was useful for me when i am talking on the BT headset and walking to my car, and get inside and want to get on the ride.

i suppose if you start up the car (engine) right a way and turn off the BT headset, the car's BT would pick it right up from there as well

The steering wheel buttons typically allow you to scan through your preset radio stations, however if you push and hold the up/down button it will let you seek to non-preset stations.

I don't want to sound like a smart-*** but that is why the button says OFF on it.

Haha that's true. It does say off on it. And I never noticed it. Until my gf "accidentally" hold to turn the screen off.
