Here's one my dealer filled me in on . . .

If you have "home link" in your car power stays on to those buttons even when the car is off. So, if you park in your driveway and someone breaks into your car then they can open your garage door.

a question - anyone know if it's possible for the car just to beep and not honk when when the key fob is used...you know the same beep when you use the door button to lock/unlock?

it wont beep, but it will cut out the honk mess. i do it to all of the cars i get.

hold the lock and unlock down at the same time on the key fob. after 5 secs or so, it will blink the flashers. from then on it just flashes the lights and does not use the honk.

I think you have to get that kit that was mentioned in this form.

Search for it.

May have been posted already, just too lazy to look . if you are in "D", and you downshift or upshift using the paddles, instead of waiting for the car to automatically go back to "D", you can hold either of the 2 paddles for about 2-3 seconds and it will go back to "D".

Dam that's scary. I just went out side to try it and left my keys inside the house. Guess what I was able to open my garage door . This is a major F--k up on Infiniti's part in my opinion.

It's normal with every car I've seen with Homelink installed.

The fob has really good range... so for example, if you are in your house just upstairs from your car in the garage, and you have a bunch of stuff in your pocket, and something holds down the door open button, all the windows will open on your car, which is very freaky when you go down to find your car with all the windows open the next morning. Has happened to me twice.

I have a lock on my garage door opener unit. If I lock it I can't open it from the car. But my car is always in the garage.
