For those without factory NAV. Good deal on GVN 52

I just bought mine from them. It's a good alternate to paying 450ish on the GVN 53 for only $250 + shipping.

Hey Paul... Thanks for the awesome info...

Have you actually gotten your Nav yet from these guys? If so, how was everything when you received it? Everything in working order. I have wanted one of the Garmin Black box Nav's for my truck for a while, but have been waiting for the prices to come down.. Anyway, $250 is a great price, so I may just buy one from these guys.

I just ordered it so I'm waiting for the shipment. They have a store based out of cali so you can actually go there to pick it up if you wish.

Edit. It looks like it's OOS now.

Very cool. I thought the same thing when I saw their web-site, but if they are ugaexploder approved, then I think I'm gonna go ahead and order this for my truck to use with my JVC head unit.

I absolutely love my protable Garmin Nav and I'm assuming this one uses the same software? I'm curious... How long have you had it, uga, and do you like it so far?

This is a member's DIY for the garmin unit.

https://g35driver.com/forums/tech-07...ternative.html

The garmin nav actually uses an sd card for updates...but they've only come out with one update in 2007 and haven't come out with anything since...although i'm pretty satisfied with the detail as is...

i've only had it for a few weeks now and so far it's great

when driving around the city i don't use it much because i know where most of the places are, but i do travel out of state frequently, so it's very helpful...i've never had a navi system in any of my cars from the factory, so i can't really compare the garmin unit to an oem one but it's pretty cool...they also sell a different antennae for it if you want weather and traffic reports
