xS drive sport mode

coming from a standard was a little disappointed in the casual shifting of the 08 G in sport mode. has anyone either found the right rpm to shift at or modded the computer or tranny in any way to improve shifting response?

Get grounding wires? I found that helped it shift faster

where did you order your grounding wires from? any idea if they void your warranty? has your dealer seen them installed? did you install yourself?

How much have you driven your car? DS mode will adjust to your driving habits. I didn't like it at first either, I had to push the car a bit. Now I rarely take it out of DS unless I'm going into manual. Let the computer get used to you...

Having driven nothing but manual since 1983 the paddle shifters don't do anything for me. They feel artificial. When I use DS mode I let the transmission do the job on it's own. Works well.

thanks for the info. when you say drive in ds mode, don't you have to shift with the shifter also just like the paddles, or can you leave in in ds and it shifts on its own?

DS is a sport mode. It's an automatic mode but the car holds gears longer, down shifts sooner and shifts in a more aggressive fashion.

In "D" mode, you hit a paddle and it goes to "M" mode temporarily.
in "DS" mode, hit a paddle and it goes to "M" until you put it back into "D" or "DS"
