2010 G37 Sedan mid cycle refresh
#61
i get bored of vehicles pretty quickly as i drive about 40k a year, so i suppose ill have to go to something else come 2010, and then probably in 2 years come back to infiniti when they make the changes that they should. i wont mind driving a lexus although i will miss the awd. i do like the rs4 but i have been spoiled with push button start, and im not crazy about driving stick with all the commuting i do these days.
I lease on 4 year terms, and I'm bored by the end too, but my G is an '06 (1st Gen), so when I line up for a 2010 model next year it'll likely be a G37S.
Have you looked at the 335i xDrive? The 335i is on my short-list, and it'll give you far better highway mpg than an RS4 or IS-F.

lol I hope youre kidding.
2008 G37 Coupe = 5AT
2009 G37 Coupe = 7AT SAME motor as above
2008 G35 Sedan = VQ35HR SAME motor as 07
2009 G37 Sedan = VQ37VHR
Nissan has the funds and research behind it to modify the current VQ and powertrain to however they want, WHENEVER they want. Like I stated earlier, automakers are HUNGRY.

M3 will be I6-TT soon.
C63 will be smaller displacement V8+FI soon.
S4 is already V6 supercharged for '10.
RS4 will be downsizing its engine to an unknown configuration.
IS-F is still a pet-project for Toyota with an unknown future.
Everybody's downsizing--even their performance models.
Infiniti will not release a V8-powered G. I'll bet you any money on it.
I'll also bet you'll see a G hybrid by the '11 model year, drawing from the Essence concept. I believe that we'll see a performance-focused hybrid (not a gas-miser) with a VQ37 + DI + electric assist.

There will be no V6-TT or V8 for the G! ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Nissan/Infiniti is focused on introducing hybrid models, starting with the M for 2010, and possibly bringing in a replacement for the Q. The G is slated for only minor upgrades until it is refreshed or replaced around the 2012-2013 timeframe.
Can we all please stick to realistic expectations?

Are you leasing on 3 year cycles?

i drive too many miles to lease.. so i buy, but i typically buy a previous year model with 10-15k miles on them so i dont take such a big hit when i trade up in a two years. ill take a hit regardless, but my job requires a lot of driving, and it is what it is.. i am considering going for the 09 335i xdrive for next year (and throwing a tune on it), but im not sure yet.. id prefer a 550i to be honest, but the awd is a big factor for me living in NY.

I'd like to see:
Lane changer blinkers in the side mirrors.
A Much better paint job
a comprehensive Tech package with Navi/Ipod inetgration/Bluetooth
better stock tires than Goodyear RSAs.
Some more storage space.
standard bi-level Xenon headlights that turn with the car - even the new Mazda 3 has it!!
Useful Fogs and the LEDS ala Audi for DRLs would be really nice.
Otherwise - don't touch the handling.....

I don't know why you'd want a tech package like that, the current tech package (with the cruise control and adaptive headlights) is fine. Sports come with much better tires. The fog lights work fine and I don't know why a company would rip off design cues from another company.
Only thing I'd really like to see on future G's is the ability to alter the suspension and steering, the new A4's can do it and it'd be a really useful feature. Hell you can even change the throttle mappings and adjust acceleration feel.
