ive been itching for something like this since lexus came out with their isF. and now that infiniti has the fx50 there is a perfect engine for it. not sure if they would ever produce it, but it sure would be badass. nice 7speed auto with paddle shifters(that can shift as quick as the isF), some adjustable suspension settings via a button, slightly redesigned body style to the current G with more aggressive lines, and fender flairs, even direct injection. as it is they could easily tune that 5.0 to have the same or more hp than the isF or current m3. ran a quick google search and came up with a lame link. but its nice to dream.

nothing wrong with that. it would be very feasible, the size of the current g engine compartment could hold the 5.0, and it wouldnt cost much at all to make it work as far as development goes. slightly heavier duty suspension up front to handle the weight increase to the 5.0, and they will be due for a body redesign anyway in a year or so.. its not really far fetched, but might not be the direction infiniti wants to take the company.

i wonder with the added weight of the 5.0 engine and the extra weight with the suspension mods to accommodate it -- would the extra torque be worth the weight investment?
I'd still rather see a super lightweight G37xS sedan produced -- shave 300lbs, tighter suspension, more aggressive body styling.

Well, if they put the V8 in the car wouldn't it throw off the cars balance alot? Then they would have to spend a whole bunch of time figuring out how to make the front lighter compared to the back. So in effect you'll just be getting a muscle car that can't go around a corner right? I don't know last time i took a FX50 out my neck hurt so bad from all the Gs it was pulling hahaha.
