Parking Light Bulb Problem - Short?

Parking Light Bulb Problem - Short?
Recently I noticed that one of my parking/clearance lights wasn’t working so I planned to replace the bulb thinking that it was burned out. After a few days of driving only during the day I made another trip at night and noticed that the same parking light that previously wasn’t working is now working again. Anyone else experience this problem or know what might be the cause? Hopefully not a short… The car is a completely stock 07 sedan with the stock bulbs.

When I lock/unlock my turn signal bulbs flash; however, I'm referring to the parking/clearance bulbs which are located on the top corners of the headlight housing.
I don't think it was a setting because I noticed it while the car was running parked with the headlights on (I stepped out of the car to grab something). The driver's side was working, but the pass was not. Since that night, they've both been working so I'm not sure what is going on. I guess I could change the bulbs, but it seems that if was simply the bulb it wouldn't have came back on because it would have been blown...?

Changed the old bulb out to a brand new OEM bulb. The old one didn't look blown; filament appeared fine. However, the bulb's glass was dark/burned in a circle around the filament which I figured was from age (60k mi and almost 3 yrs), but hopefully the new bulb will take care of the problem. I'll report back if it doesn't.
I know, I thought about using LED bulbs this time, but I've been keeping it stock to avoid issues like this.
then you should change that whole "completely stock" thing.

I just noticed this problem on my car too. When i first noticed my orange parking light was off... i thought it was burnt out. So then i walked over to the side of the car and tapped the top of the light housing with my fist, and the light flickered back on!!
My car is a 2007 G35 sedan... everything is stock except for the exhaust.
Anyone know what the problem might be?? I'm gonna try and take it apart and see if something is lose.

Just to note this, my car had just over 60,000 miles when I replaced the bulb. I also had a license plate bulb fail that I replaced at the same time.
