Get a carfax on it. See how many owners it's been thru. See if you can find out where it was bought. Usually the buyer brings it back to the same dealer for service. They may have records on it. If it were me I'd rather but a highway driven car over one that has sat most of it's life. It's your call.

Yeah, I've e-mailed the dealer for the VIN# so that I could run a carfax on it. Apparently the carfax is clean and it's a one-owner.

Just purchased a 2007 G35 loaded, I also own a 2006 M35. the G is for my daughter and we just purchased it with 113K on the odometer. If these cars are maintained there are no issues with mileage. Like everyone states change drop all fluids and change air filters, plugs ect and your good to go.
BTW my M has 134K on it and looks new

I got 102,000 on my 07G35S and had very little issues other than an AC compressor go at 75,000. Its a nissan at heart, service and take care of it an it will keep running!

Do it myself? How difficult is it?

The most I've ever done is give someone a jump and change a taillight bulb...

^^^^
long deep spark plug socket
wrench

there is a diy thread on how to change out spark plugs. The diy is the same for all G models.

as a first timer, it should take an hour or so. After your done you can easily do it again in about 30 min or less.

If you can, check the car in person or bring a trusted mechanic with you. My car was bought used at Carmax, they gave it a clean bill of health, so did Autocheck and Carfax. But me and my mechanic (after the fact) noticed certain things that pointed to a previous accident/fix, albeit minor.

You should be able to replace the plugs yourself easily. At least you won't have to remove the upper manifold. <g>

p.s. 51+k on mine and have had all these replaced under warranty -- AC Compressor, steering wheel, door trim, both headlamps. Also had several TSB's done.

I recently changed the plugs on my 06 G sedan. I would say it's pretty involved for the amount of stuff you have to move out of the way to get to the plugs. I bet now I could do it in an 1hr, but this time I took the time to torque every bolt to the specs listed in the service man and I always have issues getting the airbox back in.
