Did your exhaust smell like **** after the first test drive? Mine is stinking real bad but I figured its cause its new and burning off whatever is on the inside of the pipes.

my brothers flowmaster smelled bad at first as well, no worries!

OP - What temp paint did you use on the mufflers, 500 or 2000? I wanted to install the exhaust first to make sure I liked the sound before I painted. Now that I know i'm keeping it i'm going to paint the muffler for a more OEM look.

I used rustoleum paint for bbq grills. It's rated for 1200 F, so it should be well beyond any temp seen by the mufflers. Like any paintwork, the key to a long lasting finish is in the prep.

Mine smelled for a couple hundred miles, but now it's gone.
