Poor Tach Design
Watch out ... It seems as though the tachometer in our car has a design flaw based on the number of threads I've uncovered. It looks like it is overly heat sensitive. Here are pics of mine after 100+ degrees yesterday for reference:

Yesterday in Southern CA which is when I took the pics with my phone. Ambient temp was in the high 90's, but my car was parked in the sun. Temp actually read 107 when I first got in.

Good thing you have the actual digital rpm readout else it would be quite unsettling, I REALLY hope they cover it but i can see them giving you a hard time with all your mods...

I already tried it ... the tach signal is still correct. It just pulls into redline. Guess I should have taken a 9K RPM picture for the fun of it!
Think about it . . . it would be totally sig worthy.

(BTW, just think how much money you'd be saving over the normal cost of an engine build capable of making 9k rpms)
