How to keep the car running cool in hot days

I think this summer will be HOT in socal. I am wondering if there's anything (cheap) that I can do to keep the car running cool?

Any better coolant? (is there such things?)

Does synthetic oil helps?

Those battery and brake/clutch fluid covers, should I keep this in?

Take the engine cover out?

Just throwing idea out.

Since you're in SoCal, there's really no need for your car to run a 50/50 coolant mix. You could run a "leaner" 65% water / 35% antifreeze mix and have better cooling capacity for it. Beyond that, there's 'Water Wetter' products which are supposed to be even better still.

All that being said, there really no reason you should need to do anything. As long as your cooling system is performing to factory specs, it should be more than adequate to handle a measly little SoCal summer.

I dont know why you would need to do anything to the car, I drove my car hard in the Texas Summer ... and I never had an issue, car has about 90,000 miles on it now ..

Stay away from Water Wetter. It gunks up the cooling system.

G35 can handle So.Cali heat and more- i have 03 G35 with 131K miles, never touched anything to run it cooler, AC still runs like new. Don't need any thing done except maintained the car per the book.

if you are having problems, you can clean up your water radiator and remove all the debris built up over the years and straighten the fins

Like everyone else said, your G will be fine in the SoCal summer. If you have an aftermarket intake, heat soak might affect performance a bit.
