drag raced my car!!!
Hey guys I ran my car at Englishtown Raceway Park last week. bone stock
2.21 60'
13.95 1/4
102.xx mph
First run 14.2 @101 with a 2.5 60'. Second run(above) . Third run 22 @55 hahaha (massive wheel hop caused the shifter to pop out of 1st, then I said screw it) Fourth run 14.0 @101 with a 2.31.
about 80degrees out, low humidity, about sea level.
How'd I do? I'll post the timeslip tomorrow.

Triton - Where's BIR? what was the elevation, temp, humidity, and how did you launch? just curious cause I thought the autos and 6mt should be similar at the 1/4, no? but 3-4mph difference is kinda big.
Micntae - 14.5 @ 99? I'm guessing 6mt? For 99mph, I think you can do 14.0 or 14.1. What was your 60'?

My heavily modified auto sedan hits 13.9 @3000ft elevation 55 degrees. not weight stripped, 1/2 tank of gas, street tires.

Brainerd intl. raceway, Minn. everything here is around 1000 ft. above sea level. temps, back then were in the upper 70's I think,, heck its been over 6 years, however with my "X" the 60 ft. times were pretty low, 2.1 2.2 cause all I did was tromp on it in DS and go!!! B.I. R. is a real nice facility, hosts national evets..

kumo ecsta tires on factory 18" sport wheels. I didn't touch the air pressure...so I'm guessing they were at 33psi. Do you think lowering the rears would've helped with traction?
On the 14.0 @101 with a 2.31 run, I launched with traction control ON and turned it off before shifting to 2nd. not sure if it actually helped...I got a worse 60' than with the t.c. off but maybe it was just my (lack of) technique that made it worse. any input/experience?
2.0 60' !!!!!???? I really wish yea I'd be 13.5ish. I like to think: .1 off the 60' equates to .2 off the 1/4. Also: Assuming you get a 2.2/2.3 60', 15.0=90; 14.0=100; 13.0=110;etc...so according to this "theory", my 102 can get 13.8, but this is all generally speaking of course, I think.
I raced my 96 maxima 5speed at the track about 40 times, so I have a little experience analyzing/studying track times. btw my best with the maxima was 14.7 @ 94 with a 2.2 60'. intake and ypipe only. I looooved that car....and beat on it soooo bad ;/

Those were the days! I loved my 95 5MT maxima as well. Kept it for 12 years and it still ran like a champ! Pretty fast for it's day also, especially with the Y-pipe. It is no wonder that so many have moved on the G sedan--just a natural progression.

anyway, with the G, I'm leaving it stock. I just don't think it'll go much faster, unless I do a supercharger/turbo...which I am not LOL
