Newbie!! 07 S

Hey guys. New to the family here. First time owning an Infiniti and I must say I love her so far. Coming from a boosted sc300 I must say it's obviously not a rocket but it's no slouch either. Love the ride and the handling. Picked her up 4 months ago. Had an 08 auto for about a week before I bought this one but had to return to the dealer(long story). Picked this up for $16.900 with 61k. One owner. The interior is clean...the paint is good except for some spots on the hood and front bumper where Florida love bugs have eaten into the top coat. Not sure how the owner let that happen .

So far two thing have happened.....TPMS light has come on, I guess it's a common thing for the sensors to go bad. Had the dealer replace one before I bought the car coz the light was on. The second thing is a little rough idle especially when cold..sometimes barely noticeable. Also after a cold start....within the first 2 or 3 minutes of driving the car breaks up a bit. Usually anywhere under 3k rpms. If I hold the throttle steady it will for lack of a better word buck til I let go. So usually when it does this I let off and then throttle up again. But after 2 min or so the issue completely goes away and drives normal til it sits again for a few hours(usually overnight and at work) then the issue reappears. The car has 65k now which I believe is low mileage for changing plugs and coil but, could that be what's causing this? Did a search and didn't find quite the exact symptoms so hoping someone else might know the answer.

First step for any weird idle issues in this car is to clean your throttle bodies (especially if the idle speed dips dramatically upon startup.)
Follow the diy here and don't touch the butterflies.

The Idle speed dips normally nothing usual at all upon startup. The reason why I didn't suspect the throttle bodies is coz it only happens the first few minutes of driving after a cold startup. But I will clean them and see if that fixes it. Thanks

Nice car! I too bought a 07 S sedan with ~90k miles back in August and have experienced the same kind of "breaking up" you described after sitting awhile in the cold. Mine also goes away after a minute or so of driving. I haven't had the chance to clean the throttle bodies or see about having the ecu updated yet. But definitely update us if you figure anything out!

Glad to see I'm not the only one with the same issues. I'll let you know if I get it resolved

No Navi no Tech package. Don't really care much for navi except for resale value. Wish I had the tech package though.
