well that’s what I meant when I said takeoffs, a similar used wheel. I can’t find one locally, but I check daily.

Double check, but here is what you should be looking for, $100 + shipping or $139 shipped is about right

Your original question was about optional sizes for a Sport or base with staggered wheels.
I’ve had my ‘07 since ‘07, and along the way bought extra wheels and tires and tried different aspect ratios, etc., and expected to use the 8 wheels to have winter and summer “square” packages, I.e., a 7.5” set and an 8.5” set. After lots of number crunching, I decided that the staggered setup was better. After new OE height struts (highly recommended after 120k miles), I put on taller tires, have no rubbing, clear curbs- love them. The key is matching the height, a 1” difference is too much- tire rack lists revolutions per mile which makes it easier to compare.
Your son is lucky to get this for his first car, but owning a 10+ year old, cutting edge technology car will mean multiple projects. My best advice is once you get your immediate problem solved, to get out the manual and check that all the items are complete; for example, 90k and 120k service calls for certain checks and replacements, if that’s your miles, just make sure each item was done once recently. Also, 120k I replaced struts & plugs. The sport suspension is nice, but it’s not really there after 120k miles, and it’s time to replace.

The staggered size diameter cannot exceed 3% or the VDC system will malfunction and the SLIP/VDC lights will turn on because it will think the rear is turning slower than the front. Use a tire size calculator to verify tire sizes if going with a non-OEM staggered tire size.

AWD / X models require the same diameter tires or you will cook the transfer case.

Appreciate the input. We just knocked out the plugs yesterday. The rear struts just showed up, so we're doing those tomorrow. The plan is to get the rear alignment done after that just in case we have an issue there causing early tire wear as well. Then we'll move to the front. After that take it in to Nissan for it's first oil change just so they can do their inspection on it and tell us anything else they see wrong with it.

Well it sounds like he wants to go aftermarket wheels. I’m not finding too many options for 18x7.5 and 18x8.5, but I do see a lot of 18x8 options. Could I run 18x8 wheels on the front and back and be okay?

I would take the car to a local reputable tire/wheel shop so it can be accurately measured, usually if you go in and tell them what you're looking for they can grab an off-shelf wheel/tire, mount it, install on the vehicle and turn lock-to-lock to verify no rubbing and it will cost you an hour labor.

That way you know for fact what it will look like and how it will fit. They may also be able to get the wheels/tires you want ordered for less (or equal) than you can get them for yourself.
