Hi, I have 160,000 miles on the dash an plan on modifying my G.The car has been well taken care of through the years & maintenance is great I've had no problems. Just want some feedback, should i sell it & get one with lower miles or...? * also i do plan on keeping it naturally aspirated. i know problems will happen regardless how many mile just ant feedback.

Not sure where youre at, but youll probably have a hard time trying to find one of these for lower than 160K miles.

If it runs fine then keep it. And check your oil level every 500 miles cause these cars tend to burn a lot of oil. I have to add a quart about every 700 miles.

Drop the oil pan and check for broken gasket pieces in the bottom of it.. The oil gallery gasket inside the front timing cover is notorious for crumbling and then causing low oil pressure. The bits of gasket often fall down into the oil pan and sometimes can be pulled up into the screen on the oil tube that reaches down into the oil pan. This could starve the engine and seize it up. Good luck 👍

Don't fix it if it ain't broke. But if you find a great deal on a newer / lower mileage car and you can afford it , then go ahead and treat yourself .

I purchased a bone stock X at 129,000 miles and FBO'd it with a tune at 133,000. So far, so good at 136,000. I change the oil every 4-5 months religiously given the car's high mileage. I'm just one example but proof that these VQ motors are stout when well maintained.

Agreed. My X is well over 250,000 miles with absolutely zero engine issues.
