yea man, thanks. Left an itrader post yesterday or so. So you forking out the 700 for a new gas tank or did you find one used?

The 700 was for LABOR to pull the tank....

Gonna have it welded.....
It's actually not a big deal ... gotta do a CO2 fogging of the tank pre welding...
No oxygen, no BOOM...

It's like a #10 hole ( 4-5 mm )

damn... looks like you got it under control. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for this thing? Did you get it at a steal? you can PM me, but its not that serious, more a curiousity. Just alot of work but that's probably because I'm getting old lol

Remember
Exhaust comes out, D/S out, E brake cables , rear X member cross brace, tank heat shield, rear seat, wiring & vapor, fuel lines.....
etc etc....about 8 hrs @ 85hr.. for in & out

Car's back ! YEAH....

Full tank , no leaks

Plus oil change & 4 qt tranny flush again ( it was DIRTY ) but what can you expect after 89K without service?

and they touched up the alignment....

Stillen Z tube to go with the POP charger!

Up & coming...
New ( used ) 56mm Radiator
Tranny cooler
Aluminum underbody shield

BUT my 300ZX TT needs some luv...
So I will not be doing many hi $$ mods in the G for a bit...
( have to repaint the D/S side 1/4 panel )

Ok Murphy strikes again!
Coming home the other day.... I stopped at a light and a few whisps of smoke came out from under the car....got on the driveway... and sure enough I'm leaking....and it's getting on the pipes. There is also an oily film on the rear bumper...

So off to the stealership.... tranny rear seal & oil cooler...
I just said fix it....

I WANT MY CAR BACK!

That's done & I had them put in my aluminum lower splash shields in too!

Slowly but surely getting better every day....
and 19.28 MPG avg....
